One of the founders of taishō, Mads, has roots in Japan, while the other one, Ida, is Danish. We mostly find inspiration in our own Danish-Japanese everyday life.
The style is a balance between Japanese culture and Scandinavian aesthetics. We like working with traditional craft-based methods such as painting, linocuts, and making hand drawn posters. We also work with more graphic styles and clean colour surfaces.
All posters are available in 7 standard sizes up to 100x140 cm.
